A Catechism is instruction in the teachings of the Bible in order to help a person know and understand why they believe what they believe. As parents, we are to train up our child in the way they should go. Teach our children the truth from God’s Word so they may grow up in the discipline and instruction of the LORD and keep them from error and false teachings they will encounter throughout their lives.
The word “catechism” comes from the Greek verb catecheo which simply means “to teach, instruct.” This catechism is based on “A Catechism for Babes or Little Ones” written by Henry Jessey in 1652, “A Little Catechism” written by John Mason in 1692, and from “A Catechism for Girls and Boys” written by Richard Cecil in 1798. The Catechism is to help understand what the Bible teaches and is not to be a replacement of reading and learning the Bible. Includes: * 68 Questions with answers and Scripture proofs of where in the Bible the answer is based on * Over 80 pictures * The 10 Commandments * The Lord’s Prayer * The 5 Solas * Creation * and much more |
